Winecoff Fire Lecture
The worst hotel fire in U.S. history was on December 7, 1946 at the Winecoff Hotel in Atlanta, Georgia.
Chet Wallace, local Fort Myers author and registrar at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates, will give a lecture about this horrific event. His book Stories of the Winecoff Fire: A Dedication to the Memory of the 119 focuses on the 119 victims of this fire. You will come to know their stories through photographs and heart wrenching stories in an engaging presentation that you won't want to miss!
