Homeschool Hangout
Homeschooling families are welcome to hang out in our meeting room and socialize. Library staff will conduct fun, hands-on learning sessions based on the letters of S.T.E.A.M. Some materials provided.
This program is intended for school-aged children and tweens. Sign up for each monthly session separately.
- Sept. 17 - Cloud Catchers: Learn about different types of clouds and how they are made with a fun and interactive experiment. Make your own cloud catcher to keep!
- Oct. 15 - Luminous Lava Lamps: Dive into the physics of fluid dynamics with us as we explore lava lamps together. Enjoy a classic science experiment and make your own artful masterpiece to keep!
- Nov. 19 - The Science of Sound: Experience the dynamics of sounds and how they are made. Then team up with friends to make a water xylophone and talking turkeys!
- Dec. 17 - Winter Sports Ski STEM Challenge: We may not have snow, but we can brrrringing on the learning fun with a few simple materials and a whole sleigh load of ingenuity!
